Why didn’t he lubricate the valve train on top of the cylinder heads?. Pour the oil evenly over the heads, letting it lubricate the valve train and work its way down into the lifter valley and the crankcase. On an engine build; Be sure to prime the oil pump with fresh oil before securing the oil pan, soak the lifters and pushrods in oil to get them filled, oil the timing chain and gears. Spin engine manually a few times to get things moving. Install all covers, torque to specs. Install fuel and ignition components. Then, before starting do one final check of the; Johnson rod, McMurphy strut, Pendergrast bearing, universal actuator, high speed synchronizer, air accumulator, telescopic fender attribute, bump stopper, shimmy reducer, shake stabilizer, shock inducer, press release, negative ground, headlight fluid, ground lowerer, height raiser, tire rotator, max headroom, harmonic distortion valve, atomic coil, fusion reactor, gigawatt generator, flux capacitor, X-drive, impulse power, warp drive, photon torpedos, FTL Drive, water wetter, FM interference, radio relay, polly juice, titty twister, pollution dispenser valve, and the static cling inducer.
