My first Sargent confiscated my weapon while in basic training because I left it unattended for a minute the rest of the day I had to carry around this big ass rock ! Why because of course you must have a weapon. I had to zero in this new weapon, then qualify this new weapon. Needless to say it taught me a valuable lesson about leaving my weapon unattended. Even if my battle buddy was supposed to be watching my weapon while I was unloading lunch from a truck! Lmao ! Never again was my weapon not slung over my back or at the ready. Good times good times! It was hilarious!
