Can you use all purpose flour in place of cake flour? If the recipe calls for 2 1/2 cups cake flour, how much would that be in all purpose flour. Thank you.

what happen if i substitute cake flour for white flour in a recipe wrongly? what happen if i change 1 cup of white flour to 1 cup of cake flour straight away? will the cake become flatten or what?

I find it makes a lot of difference when you need six and a half cups of flour. I always weigh it now and my recipe is written this way.
