I really was close to ordering this but somethings about it made me hold off. I want to get the fabric version but I was disappointed to hear how stiff the seat was and how the bucket style can be annoying when sitting with crossed legs.

One missed opportunity in the video though, was to compare fabric vs mesh because no one has done that and personally I was very curious about the differences. Although I chose mesh, I'd still be interesting to see the comparison. Is the hardness the same etc.

Any chance y'all would attempt to open up the armrest and see if there are any screws you can tighten to stop that loose forward/backward armrest adjustment?

This was the first slightly more critical review I've found, most others have mostly praised it, although all have commented on virtually the same issues (loose arm rests).
This is still my top contender right now, coming from a old DX Racer, without doubling the price and going for a truly ergonomic specialty office chair.

After this video, I’m now torn between this chair and the new Ergonomic chair pro from Branch. Both look amazing and it looks like Branch made a lot of improvements from their original ergonomic chair. Are y’all gonna review that one once it comes out so you can help me decide? 😅

the firm seat of the secretlab is the main reason I got one. I had a really soft gaming chair before and had back pain all the time, when I got this chair it all disappeared completely, while not as comfortable short term, long term it is more ergonomic

This chair is totally off, and i actually refunded it. Armrest were slidy, lumbar support not working (resetting back to default position when i apply some force with my back) some smudges and the sit overall was uncomfortable due to shortness, hard edges that can't make me spread my legs enough and overall costruction being meh.

I do actually prefer my noblechair hero that i got in 2020, actually thinking that i'm going to buy that chair again.

Don't mistake me: it's a decent chair overall (aside for that defections), but totally outside the 500 bucks range. More like 250/300.

I was considering on waiting for your review on the chair of just ordering a refurbished Leap V2 beforehand. I got my leap V2 today. Glad I did because this thing feels great, but I'm very happy that Refine ended up being a good product.

So it’s not nice to sit on? For £500+ it should feel like air. When did production line chair manufacturers grow the balls to charge this much for a chair that’s not nice to sit in.

Technically you could make the lumbar support more aggressive by adding maybe more padding to it?
