the best way to combat this is letting the Clove speedrun rest and setting the Waylay speedrun as the new basis, but for this one you can set a specific time like 48 hours or so

It’s sad to see how Valorant has fallen. People who’ve played the game for years are so burned out since they’re forced to start even lower with how crappy the MMR is.

Like as someone who’s maxed out at D3 3 years ago, why do I still play former Immortal and Ascendant players when I’m stuck in Gold. (Yes commenters who’ve come to say I’m washed, yes yes you got me there.)

But why is this MMR so fcked up? There’s no reason to rank up, no reason to work with your team, and no reason to play.

tbh since they changed the ranked system, you should kinda "restart" the speedruns and set a new personal best on waylay, try beating it with other agents after, it would be way easier because you would start around gold on every speedrun account and you wont have to try and beat a speedrun that was done before the update of ranked system

Make the speed run timer start when u reach plat 2. That way you can beat the best speed run time even without perfect placements

I'm pretty sure that this rank mmr change is intentional. I don't think its buggy, nor is it good. But Riot cares only about two things: playtime, and money spent (because more playtime = more money spent). That's probably why they changed the mmr system to make players 1. place lower 2. gain less mmr and therefore 3. play more games. With the changes to league that was made recently, I don't doubt that they did something to the mmr system given that there isn't really much to take away in terms of free stuff in valorant (literally the only free things we get are event passes and tier 50 bp).

Maybe this is me putting on a tinfoil hat, but this along with the bundle inflation has genuinely disgusted me. I've never been pushed away from a game due to monetary reasons (and I've played destiny 2 for 2k hours since forsaken), but Riot's greed recently has made me actually stop playing their games. Still watching this series bc theyre fun, but it also reminds me of how much Riot has changed since the new CEO came in.

I used to think I was tweaking but last season I was grinding plat against diamonds and ascendants and winning about 60-70 of my games with decent K/Ds. This season I got placed silver and struggled to make it past gold 2 knowing that someone of tenz’s caliber is getting placed there makes so much sense now

highkey to buff the stun they should make jt to where it slows ur sens, it wouldnt be able to keep up with the dash but u could still live with good crosshair placement. It would also make the ult more viable and really tie up the kit
