I worked at Taco Bell when I was in high school in the mid -70s here in Southern CA and there were less than 10 items on the whole menu. Orders were written on a chalkboard above each cashier’s window. I worked closing (5:30 - 11pm) back then. Friday and Saturday nights saw the best stoner business after 10pm, especially in the summer. We would make these huge burritos and overstuffed tacos to use up all the food so we didn’t have to wrap it up and put it in the fridge for the opening shift next morning. The stoners loved the extra food and I got a lot of dubes inside empty Marlboro boxes they would toss on the counter as they were leaving. The 70s ruled!
