I'm nervous about Monday because I have a doctor's appointment I HAVE to be at Monday afternoon and if there's that much ice YIKES

Getting showers with a couple of embedded thunderstorms since about 0100. It hasn't rained hard so far with my total only at 0.32", and the temperature is 53 after a low of 51. None of the global models handle these cold air events well, especially when the shallow air is so cold. My concern is cold air damming setting up here in east and southeast AL. This pattern has produced some pretty prodigious ice storms in the past down here, but it's also produced at least as many near misses or total bombs. None of these models will have even a 50/50 chance of being accurate more than 24 hours out. Just ignore all the FB forecasters calling for big ice storms. They know way less than the models, and they want is clicks and views. No one will remember them blowing a forecast, but they will if James does it. If he starts talking about ice storms, that's the time to worry.
