Insider trading is how most congressmen gets rich. At least here there's rules to stop MP's from doing it. So instead they use their role for networking. In an attempt to secure them a job for when they're no longer in parliament.

When I was young, going into the retail industry, if I want to be filthy rich, I was told to make the most out of others misfortune...I can say I am no millionaire.

My friend (in Europe) made almost million USD last week shorting the falling market. And he didn't know about Trumps plans, he just took a big chance. Imagine what Trumps friends made if they knew in advance what is going to happen?

It's called insider trading for normal people and they go to court and prison
Corruption at its worst and the senate or Congress sit on their hands or join in
A disgrace

Anyone who believed that Trump was genuinely going to make the US compete with decades of manufacturing advancement of China can buy some magic beans from me.

The US government was nowhere near the size it was pre WW1. So it could function with just a tax on tariffs.

The uncertainty is worse than the tariffs.

Bullying will make other countries comply to your demands because they're afraid. But it guarantees that the other countries will start de-risking from you and start working on alternative trade systems and partners.

This administration prides itself for breaking promises, agreements and treaties like it is a sign of power.

It's quite telling that Trump is keen to reminisce about the historical advantages of tariffs but doesn't seem to apply the same logic to immigration

If someone is $2.4bn richer then someone is $2.4bn poorer. The market doesn't make money appear out of nothing.
