and people question why this paintings are so expensive... danm it was so hard to get pigments in the past and knowing that this beautiful blue comes a semiprecious stone adds A LOT of value, right?

Two oil paint manufacturers still make paint with lapis lazuli in them. The brands are Daniel Smith and Michael Harding if anyone is interested. I suggest Daniel Smith simply for the fact that it's much cheaper than Harding paints on Blick.

yeah. wow.

I'm taking a music history class and there is a painting in the textbook,
its is The Blue Boy - by Thomas Gainsborough

i was trying to think of why it was such a famous painting despite it looking soo ordinary but it must be because of the Blue paint, amazing

yeah, I also agree that in the modern age with technology and ultimately synthetic dye, we can take all the colors for granted as it
but wow blue pigment in sapphires of the bible and such fascinating!
There are some that have that color scheme of blue, gold, and white,
and it must be a direct reference to that beautiful stone you have in the video wow!

Have you done (real) vermilion -- made with cinnabar? Also toxic, but also beautiful.

I read in No Country For Old Men that a character had eyes "the color of lapis ... the color of wet stones.".  Is that probably referring to the stone or the pigment?

Imagine how many lapis lazulis were shattered to make a color.

have you made video discussing about Napoleon's death because of color green? I wonder if it's hoax or not.

Without shouting at you I would just point out Lazuli is pronounced laz-you-lie. Well done; keep up the good work.

Most annoying background music... You may want to rethink the music choice, since this really distracts from you speaking...
