🛠 How to Flash R9 Mini with X-Lite [Quick and Dirty]

⚡ Here I demonstrate a Quick & Dirty method to flash the FrSky R9 Mini or MM receiver with the FrSky X-Lite transmitter. ⚠️ But not without risks. read below for Slim, Slim+

🛠 The R9 does NOT include the necessary pigtail in its package contents. Instead of soldering, i chose to de-pin my R-XSR pigtail and connect to the R9's header, then firmly hold the header in place while flashing the update. This is risky and if disconnected mid-flash, could easily brick and make-worthless the R9 Mini or R9MM.

ℹ SLIM+: This works for the R9 Slim, Slim+ also, BUT, i used some probe connectors (test-hooks) to hold the wires from the pigtail to the included CON1 harness. Connect the YELLOW S.PORT to the GREEN WIRE on the harness (not the yellow) and obviously Black to Black, and Red to Red.

I need your help with I got a R9m lite pro on an x lite pro and I’m trying to use one model for the 2 quads that I have but it won’t let me... it says bind successfully and then immediately the red light starts to flash and it un binds. Please please help there is 0 info on this in the internet and Frsky won’t answer my emails. Thank you in advanced

Hello, when I select the FW R9 mini acct version on the sad card I get the options : copy, rename or delete. Not flash firmware. When I downloaded the R9m lite firmware update I got the option to flash firmware. Any ideas? I am about to throw in the towel on Frsky.
