I used to think this was just someone in a suit until I saw that even award winning costume makers at that time said they couldn't even make a suit that good, and we're supposed to believe that 2 dufus cowboys made a suit that was better and more realistic than anyone in Hollywood with all of their resources could do? Here's another point that hasn't been made here. Usually, when a sasquatch film is fabricated, the camera is already in place and already
aimed in the direction the phony sasquatch will turn up. Patterson, on the other hand, was thrown off of his horse and knocked to the ground. He then frantically had to fish out his camera out of his saddle bag, and then start to film the creature with out any type of scripted set up. Dr. Grover Krantz questioned Patterson regarding everything that he saw and brought up some details and characteristics of this creature that Patterson had no clue as to what Krantz was even talking about. Yes, ....Patterson likely would have fabricated the film if he had the means. However, there is no concrete evidence that he had. His partner with him that day, Bob Gimlin, would have blown the whistle if the film had been fabricated by Patterson. He's had 57 years to come forward and admit IF the film had been fabricated. So far, he never has because this film is genuine and authentic. Obviously, Gimlin didn't see any way that Patterson could stage the film.

Thank you for stabilizing the footage. I still don't know if bigfoot is real or not, I had some odd encounters that were different cryptid or paranormal wise. But it would still be cool if bigfoot was real and out there!!

Walking and vision would be restricted in a suit yet it makes a flawless walk and even turns and looks at the camera without stumbling even a little.

I just love this film! But, the bit that always makes me question it is the strange bum/fur pants situation, sort of fake looking….i’m coming round to it being a suit but made out of dead animal, what a piece of work though!

In 1967, if you really think about it, who else was going to film Bigfoot other than a filmographer, that was looking for Bigfoot.
