Why not compare gentoo+ systemd vs gentoo+openrc ?...

Compare 3 different system is somehow hard, because even they have different startup system, but who care they start up with same amount of services on default?

systemd starts services in parallel by default but openrc doesn't unless you tell it to, would be nice to see how it would compare if you enabled it

Yo pienso que depende bastante del setup que se tenga en gentoo, ya que este puede tener un menor tiempo de arranque, depende mas que nada de la configuracion de compilacion del kernel asi como de la configuracion de portage a la hora de compilar los programas: al usar las use flags mas minimas, estableciendo las CFLAGS con -march=native, habilitando las CPU_FLAGS_X86 y usando lto-overlay, se podría reducir de una manera enorme el tiempo de arranque, a mi gentoo con todas esas optimizaciones me bootea en 2 segundos (con ssd) y arch me bootea aproximadamente en unos 10 segundos

What if you will use "quiet nosplash nomodeset" in Grub for Linux kernel loading? Will it be faster?
Strange tests, because on Gentoo it goes to init (OpenRC) around 9 seconds. On my rig it is on init almost instantly after Grub.

Uso Arch con i3wm, debería probar Void? La verdad ni siquiera se usar Runit, nunca he usado otro sistema que no sea SystemD.

para mi lo de menos es el tiempo de booteo, al final casi nunca apago mi pc, siempre lo dejo hibernando, la razón por la cual uso void y no tocare ni con un palo Systemd son por otras razones que todo el mundo ya sabe...

Antes de abril de 2010 solo existía init.d, al pasarse Arch y Debian, un año después, a systemd, tuve que comprar un pc nuevo. El heredero legítimo de init.d parece ser runit porque openrc no se que tiene de bueno eso la verdad.
