If you wrap them around the glass and then wrap the whole thing in a few layers of duct tape it concentrates the heat out the end. It will definitely make the glass drip.
The issue with the unwrapped version here is the loss of heat in the outside.

I thought he was making something else at first but no he's still making Prince Ruperts drop

I'm actually surprised it even melted it tbh that's pretty cool yo

You should try putting magnesium oxide strips around the glass (add a full branch on the start to bottom to ensure it’s going to melt)

Could you technically make a mail armour suit out of the hard end on prince rupert’s drops? (With the shattery bits melted)

Yeah, once a yard sale I got a tire repair kit and I had a few road flares in it so I found some really fine fine beach sand and I sat there with that. Can’t remember now what the heck it was like a cylinder I had to keep the dirt and it was like a metal tube, but I threw the damn thing right down inside there and let the road flares burn away. It actually end up making a piece of glass wasn’t very good quality but it still made a piece of glass I just thought that was kind of interesting to try something like that and if you do you silica sand.

Next time try the same method but wrap electric tape around the sparklers tight and leave one out to light it

You have to heavily wrap the sparklers in electrical tape. Make sure to wrap tightly for best results. I wouldn't suggest holding or standing too close after lighting though.

I think you still could, if you went the other way around. Light from the bottom and start with them towards the end of the rod. Then, move the sparklers as the flame progresses until they reach the tip. There should be no metal, carbon, etc, in the way anymore to impede falling.

This will not work because the force of the binder is too much, and as the glass melts, the sparklers are trapping the molten glass.

So, do it again, but make a trough for the molten glass to freely run/drop out.

Used to do this as a kid. Poke a hole on a tennis ball and fill it with sparkler scrapings (scrape all the grey stuff off the sparkler). Get one more sparkler as a fuse. Cut the wire on the end off. Light, handheld thermite cutter 😆
