I remember dating this woman who was a few years older than me. We went to a gas station and she said aren't you pumping my gas and I said no, you can. I literally remember her crying the entire time while pumping her own gas and people started walking over towards her car because they all thought I did something to her. That whole "Mess with the chick who likes you not the one you like" thing will only work if you have romantic feelings for the one who has romantic feelings for you. Just because someone has feelings for you doesn't necessarily mean you should try to date them if you don't feel the same way about them. That just sounds like desperation. That's like telling men "Well, instead of chasing pretty women and asking pretty women out, if you know a 400-pound woman is attracted to you, date HER instead!" If you're attracted to that 400-pound chick like she's attracted to you, then, sure. But if you're not attracted to her, why date her? That's horrible advice.

And I'm sure we know that the majority of women would never try to date guys whom they have no interest in, even if those guys had interest in them. But for some reason, men are told to basically just date whichever woman is interested in us versus trying to start a relationship with women we are actually interested in.
