It's 45 years to the day since the 'end' of Southern steam and 35028 Clan Line heads a Cathedrals Express from London to Weymouth and back. The outward leg ran through Andover and the return was via Winchester. I just missed a couple of DRS Class 37s (light engine) heading north at Winchester, but the freightliner has super 3 x 66 power for its charge towards the Docks. Clan Line then gallops into view and, whistling well, thunders through the station,

Some great 3-cylinder sound there Will. I filmed the down train passing Queenstown Road-Battersea. Very rare to see steam on the Down Main at that location. Barry
