I can respect the roster. The guest characters are neat, but no complaints against Mario series only. It is full of core must haves and fan favourites, plus some interesting extras.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd give this roster maybe a 7 or 7.5.

I do like that you stuck with Mario or Mario affiliated characters, but some of the choices I find a little questionable. Like, I don't think I'd take Flutter over Wiggler. I also think if another Kong were to appear, I would personally want Cranky over Tiny, and the clones feel a little on the high side for my tastes. Like as much as I personally love all Shy Guys, I'm not too sure we really need Fly Guy.

But hey, I'm just one person, and what I feel might not be the same for others, and that's okay.

Also, I don't get the hate for the koopallings...
They are unique and the have appeared in multiple games outside of the 2D plateformers !

Ho, and still saying DK junior is donkey kond, it is a retcon, it's the current canon (I don't get why people are so obseed with him, I get the nostalgia factor but, you kept Baby DK too.

This is actually a pretty solid list all the characters I would've wanted: Paratroopa, shy guy, dry bones, e gadd, R.O.B, petey piranha and toadsworth all made it

Tbh great list, outside of some that come to personal opinion like Gold for Metal Mario and Boomerang for Hammer Bro, the changes I would make would be Helicopter Shy Guy for the Miis and the Kremlin for Goomba





And also turn Tanooki and Dr. Mario into skins because I love them so much

I really want Donkey Kong Jr. to return. He was in the original Mario Kart and never came back other than in Tour where they left his model pixelated to look like the old school game. I believe he’s only appeared in like one other Mario game because he was essentially replaced by Diddy Kong. DK Jr. deserves proper justice

I honestly agree with the non-Mario characters as I like saving room for more actual Mario characters. The only one I am fine with would be R.O.B. since he always just felt right to me, I don't know.

If I could add a few, it would be Kirby, Sonic, and Pac-Man as I think they would genuinely fit in the most with Mario Kart. And ones like Rabbid Mario or Rabbid Peach would be cool with me since they technically debuted in a Mario game but are also not technically fully Mario characters.

I would have kept Luma, but as Rosalina's companion like in Wii. Also, thank you for replacing Captain Toad with ROB. I do respect your roster. Though I would have made Hammer Bro as the base Bro instead of Boomerang Bro.
