In the past, I would get so mad and exasperated when I'd see things like what you and your Dad saw in your new barn build: broken PVC stubs, uneven screw lines, scuffed walls and door frames, you name it. About 30 years ago I befriended a man and his son who have a farrow to feeder hog farm and row crops. I started buying farm ground in 2004 that they now farm. I learned a very important lesson while working with them over these two decades. They never get overly upset over the million big and little things that go wrong in their busy farming program. They just figure out the most efficient solution to get past it and back to the days job at hand. It amazed me to witness this cool demeanor by them thousands of times over the years. I've become a less stressed person, and have learned to not see these as impediments to getting things done, just things to figure out and fix. Thanks Ramon and Lewis! I give thanks to all American farmers.

Hey Chet, it may be too late for this, but please consider running your downspouts to a separate pit than your floor drain. I ran everything to one pit and now regretting it. Back in July we had 4 inches of rain within 24 hours and the water backed up into my floor drains and made a mess of the shop. Just a thought. Great video.

Take the front door to a body shop and tell them you want a two stage paint on it. Base coat clear coat. It will outlast the G rib metal.
