When I was in the 8th grade I had a crush on this girl, and she really liked Phoebe Bridgers. I didn’t listen to her, but when she asked me if I liked Phoebe I just bullshited my way through the conversation. Great content Lauren! I have two close friends: Sabrena, who's straight and Randy, who is gay. I had always been straight. We've all been friends for a long time, but I didn't know that Randy was attracted to me! Randy told Sabrena, and of course, you know how women can be sometimes! Sabrena decided that she was going to get us together, so one night we all went out and ended up back at Randy's place. Sabrena then got a call from her boyfriend and she told us that she had to leave, but she told the two of us to just stay there and watch movies. Well, that was the night that I had my first gay experience, and Randy and I are now a couple. I came out to my mom when i was under the effects of anesthesia like 3-4 months ago. I said, "Mom, I'm bisexual, " and showed her my male crush, who's a famous tiktoker. Her initial response was, "He's confusing you because he looks like a girl, " and "Are you sure you aren't just saying this to be like him" because I explained that he's also bi. I sent like 8 videos of him, including one with him flexing. A few days later, she asked if I was serious because apparently she thought it was just the drugs talking or something, and I explained to her that i was serious. She supports me byt is against my crush because of the age difference. He's just under 5 years older than me. At the time, I was 18, and he was 22, but now I'm 18, and he's 23.

When I was a kid I asked my mom if girls can marry girls. She said “I mean… technically 🤨” (with that exact face) and I said “oh, I might just do that then because boys are gross and Reagan’s (my bsf at the time) eyes are pretty” she said “oh ok honey 😨😀” (with those faces in that exact order) and I just sat there like “😊”. So when I was 16 me and my best friend were closer then the lines on the lesbian flag. So of course I had easily developed a crush on her.
But I was trying hard to figure out if she was gay or not. (being best friends I probably coulda just asked her) But did I do that nope.
So one day when she was singing a song and since she doesn't have the best english I told her that she was singing a song about being gay to like see "hmm does she care?". (the song was like about feminism or some thing) Few days later we were swimming together (swimming is GREAT flirting material BTW) and she started sing 'I kissed a girl' by Katy Perry. I told her "hey you know that's about being lesbian right?". And she's like ya I know.
I was freaking out I was like "do I kiss her?", did I?... no... So here's the thing she dressed like a stereotypical lesbian too and I still was like "jeez she's straight".
Anyway long story short, I asked my lesbian cousin for advice, asked her out and now were getting married in 6 months! Oh and this was in 2014 so :)



Coming out was awkward aswell.

My coming out: So I'm a jew and my rabbi's daughter asked me "You gonna marry a jewish guy?" I had the nerve to respond with "what if I want to marry a jewish girl?" My mom heard me and let me tell you that car ride home was AWKWARD! (my soon to be wife is an Israeli-Jew)

My fiancée's: We were having a sleep over and at this time in my life my grandma was living with my family. So we were doing ya know what and I guess my grandmother was mad that we were staying up late (she didn't know what we were doing). So she burst in and yelled at us for being awake. And my fiancée yelled back saying "you're mad that we're up? I'm f--king your granddaughter!!! Be mad about that!" Yep breakfast was once again... AWKWARD.
