Saw this tour at Pine Knob, just outside of Detroit in August of '84. We were well back on the hill, but the Clair Brothers' sound system and Squire's bass had that hill literally shaking!!! A truly amazing night!!!

Stockholm was their first gig in Europe that year. They rehearsed music, sound, stage and light for 3 days before the concert. The sound was amazing.

Saw them on this tour at Big Mac in Denver Co. Took my friends to thier first ever concert. It was a mind blower. The laser light show was off the hook. And the YES sound was so just so YES!! One of the best concerts I've seen and I've been to too many to count. I miss concerts like this..

Saw this tour at The Spectrum in Philadelphia (September 1984). My first concert ever! Now I am 53 and saw Jon Anderson this past August and had the pleasure of meeting him! What a thrill!

The lazers starting during Hearts. Smoke thick as a blanket, everyone in the place lit up. It was like a cue. Turning point of the show. My first YES concert. MSG spring 84. Still in my top 2. It was twice as loud as any other YES show. It was Rush loud. The bass was wall shakingingly monstrous. My jacket was vibrating off my body, almost went into fibrilation. lol. It was the night where YES was determined to prove the critics wrong. They played their asses off that night in New York City. Cherished memory.

They had ended to all intents and purposes in 1979 with departure of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman
Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes
replaced them but somehow it wasn't same
This line up came from nowhere
Tony Kaye original keyboardist
as well as Jon Anderson
They shed off all the long hair beads kaftans and hippy stuff
Brought Yes music into the 1980s
Which paved way for Classic Yes to survive into 2000s

Great stuff, I went to the Birmingham UK show and can honestly say that it's up there with the very best gigs I've been to, I just love the harmonies between Jon, Trevor and Chris and the musicianship was superb.
