This sequence is probably my favorite part of the entire movie. But, it certainly spooked me a bit as a kid.

Am I the only one confused as to why the cabbie scared off a fare? Kevin had money to pay him...yet the guy purposefully scared him off. I think the scene's even funnier when you realize that.

I studied the map of NYC and looked at where Kevin ran away from the Plaza Hotel. The Plaza Hotel is north of Central Park (a massive area) and really, for the rest of the film, Kevin was in Central Park and not really that far away from the Plaza, where his family arrived.

I always thought this scene was hilarious. This is something your parents would do to scare you so you don't run away 😆 However, as you get older, you realize it's different out there.

im surprised Kevin never ran into any other kids his age or a bit older that are gang members when he was out walking this hour, that shouldve been his biggest challenge, i feel like he could've got it bad if he seen any
