When Kevin screamed I thought it was just for comedy purposes as a kid.

But as an adult, I now realize his reaction was very realistic! He was genuinely horrified that these guys were back in his life, especially when he believed he'd never see them again!

This had to be his worst nightmare becoming a reality.

The musical cues in this movie are so good. This intense build up to a silence then.... SCREAM! They do the same during the tarantula scene in part 1 and the mom's airport freakout scream.
