These are the most expensive stadiums in the world. The gigantic sports venues on this list are predominantly NFL stadiums, but there are a few soccer stadiums and a baseball stadium on this list as well. These stadiums are filled with state-of-the-art technology and unique features. Because of the massive size of these sports venues, many of them cost more to build than originally projected. Many of the stadiums on this list went well over budget. AT&T Stadium was originally supposed to cost $650 million, but the final price tag was $1.3 billion. Some of the stadiums on this list can be converted from football stadiums to soccer stadiums and vice-versa. Record-breaking concerts, outdoor NHL games, and WrestleMania events have taken place at some of these stadiums. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California cost a staggering $5.5 billion to build, which makes it the most expensive stadium of all time. It’s the home field of both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers and features a groundbreaking 80 million pixel screen called the Oculus. The jumbo screen gives fans a detailed look at plays on the field even if they are sitting way up in the nosebleed section. Yankee Stadium is the most expensive baseball field in the world, and the most recent iteration of this stadium cost $1.3 billion to build. Yankees tickets can be very expensive. Legends Suite seats range in price between $510 and $2,600. Inside Yankee Stadium, you will find a museum that houses over $10 million worth of baseball memorabilia. Keep watching to learn all about the most expensive stadiums in the world.

When NYC bid for the 2012 Olympics against Moscow, Madrid, London, and Paris, they proposed a new stadium on Manhattan Island just west of Madison Square Garden called West Side Stadium as the main stadium of the games and the new home of the NY Jets. Meaning a NYC NFL team would've actually played in NY. But due to many issues like its proximity to MSG, the plans for the over one billion dollars stadium were rejected

Why you show the Montreal Olympic Stadium when you don't even talk about it...? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'll comment this before the video even starts playing: SoFi Stadium project cost is $5+ billion, but that includes EVERYTHING around the stadium. The stadium itself is about $1.7 billion, making it #2 most expensive.

Its so weird that some American stadiums have full covered roof while some stadiums doesnt have roof at all. In Europe and also other countries most stadiums have roof that covers over the seats or partly covers the seats. It looks so low budget for an expensive stadium like MetLife Stadium as it doesnt have any roof

I hate when they make taxpayers that may not even give a crap about sports pay for sporting arenas through tax.

I still think The Superdome in New Orleans built in 1975 stands the test of time!

I suppose you could have added Montreal's Olympic Stadium to the list. That place is a money pit of repairs. I heard once where the cost of it was almost 1 billion dollars, and that was in the mid 90's.
