Chapter 1 really was amazing I never thought Fortnite would be the game it is today tbh but I’m glad it’s still around and I’m still enjoying it

i remember getting home playing chapter 1 season 3 when it first dropped back in late feb early march 2018 after school, unbeatable nostalgia i wish i could go back 😢 and season 7 christmas break

This is true but one thing he did not mention is that a lot of people did not play in chapter 1 so they are gonna think it’s better because they have not played chapter 1 it’s like hating on a food you have never tried

I have 6500+ hrs on the game, so, take my opinion for what it is. I've been playing OG a lot recently, and I feel like this is incorrect and correct, and I'm not trying to be a fence sitter so let me explain why for both.

I genuinely think modern Fort is better than it's pretty much ever been, and a big part of that is the sheer number of viable weapons or utility or loadouts you can use and be really good with (the only thing lacking variety is shotguns). The exotics are awesome and fun to use, the black markets are really good to have as a part of your loot route if you want, the gold splash effect + all the mobility is awesome, they added an actual incentive to the train.

I also think that OG season 3 has been more complete than OG season 2 and especially season 1, because of the extra healing options and the ease of use for the current weapons. The OG hunting rifle is awesome, the rockets and GL's are really good, Mini Guns are actually useful, the Silenced Pistols are great for their DPS and reload time, impulses are really fun, the guided missile launcher is uh, well it was good for 50v50, I'm 2 for 3 for deaths in normal games from being in the missile pov, and of course, the Pump Shotgun is incredibly powerful and easy to use as well. And obviously, 50v50. That was my main game mode when it was up, I loved it.

All that being said, I think both OG and main BR are simply different flavors, and both are incredibly fun with their own unique pacing, their art styles and their gun play. It helps that I started in C1S3 I suppose, and I think OG will get exponentially better once we get the next seasons, and I'm beyond excited for the live events and the returning LTM's. Both of those are going to be among the top biggest highlights of the year.
