Before TYBW was released, everybody was waiting to see Unohana's bankai with that perfect "Minazuki" voice. Then here's Senjumaru. Her saying "bankai" already sends chills. "Ton ton kara kara"

Could go on forever about how great this is. All im gonna say is though im so happy Kubo wanted to add extra scenes in the anime. Especially knowing how hard he was pushed to rush out the manga. Must be nice for him to be able to add a few extra ideas he had. Especially this one given how much more it adds to squad zero

& here I thought unohana’s way of saying Bankai was scary, this was peak level menacing.

I didn't notice this until I watched the dub because I'm not familiar with Japanese intonation, but if you pay close attention to the way Senjumaru says "Bankai" and its name in both the sub and the dub, there is a quiet fury in her voice over the death of her comrades.

Notice, that Oetsu is technically 2nd in command. He literally selected Senjumaru to use bankai. His bankai would probably rip them apart after seeing senjumaru

So an actual reality warping Bankai. It essentially seals their fate and fortells their future on how they die. Or it could be a Banaki that looks into the future to see how they die and brings it to the present to kill them now. Either way, for those of us who've read the manga we know they survive. I'm hoping we get an explanation on the actual nature of her bankai.

If this is the effect of just one of the Royal Guard's Bankai, then it is completely believeable when its said that if two or more were able to unleashed their full power, that it could destabilize the three worlds.

Unohana saying Bankai in season 1 hyped me the most and I thought it's the most spine chilling Bankai release ever, then THIS happened! Made my jaw drop and that "Ton...Ton, Kara...Kara" gave me goosebumps!

Can't wait for Season 3's new set of Bankai release!

Nothing will beat seeing this for the first time on the day it was released. To have something THIS DRASTICALLY changed from the manga was insane and out of nowhere (in a good way)
