Netflix takes next step in password sharing crackdown

As Netflix continues to crack down on password sharing in more countries, subscribers in Canada, Spain, Portugal and New Zealand now have to declare a primary location for an account. Outside users can be added but for an additional charge. NBC’s Stephanie Gosk reports for TODAY.

Hahaha no thanks. Our family has 7 kids in 7 diff schools or training programs for a few months after discussing with kids they showed us better alternatives to netflix. So we canceled. Theyll never get another cent. They dont even finish some series or release original content on bluray.

I'm more curious how this would work for people who are away from home for long periods of time i.e. Military, Truckers, Pilots, oil rig workers, etc.. I myself am military and travel a LOT for work and would just like some answers on how it would work if say the only member of a household leaves that household for a while. Logically this to me doesn't make much sense, I understand Netflix's side with more income from its users, but I think their prices are only going to continue to have to rise in order to equalize to the users they will lose.

We are people who only stream content, why does anyone need to share a Netflix account? Even with $65.00 for fast fibre optic internet, Prime, Commercial Free Hulu, Youtube Premium, and Netflix we pay less than half of our former satellite service alone. Netflix costs about the same as 3 average coffee drinks at Starbucks or 3 loaves of bread. How is this so expensive that you feel the need to share? Is cheating, chiseling and being cheap and conniving just a normal practice for people?
