At least ChatGPT Integration they could have brought to the old Siri in iOS 18 for older devices that do not support Apple Intelligence.

At 9:18 the old iphone shuts off wifi and keeps it off. Thereby making the next prompts fail.

This video just makes me love my mini more and think an 18 mini with Apple Intelligence would be amazing. But sadly...likely won't happen..

Has it been confirmed that ‘old’ Siri on non-Apple Intelligence devices will get zero improvements? I wish they had improved Siri for everyone, similar to how Google has bought Gemini to older devices

I saw another iOS 18.1 Siri video show off improved understanding, so you can stumble over words and change your request mid-sentence. So you can say something like “Hey siri, set an alarm for uh… 5am, no wait, 6am, no actually, remind me to take out the trash at 8am”.

The most intriguing thing to me in this vid is your battery widget. Is that the AirPods case battery level showing ? Granted I haven’t updated iOS 17 in a while but the only way that displays on any of my iOS devices is if I open the case (which also brings up the pop up display anyway).

Being able to see the battery level of the case w/out opening the lid & the pods in it & is one of my most desired updates (or a small level indicator on the case that’s better than the current led).

So I’m curious about the circumstances what is displayed on your widget here.

Can you please tell us if iOS 18 Weather app shows info correctly, because on 6S iOS 15.6 it shows Thunderstorm and Lightning and since iOS 16 and 17 came along on SE 2 2020 it just shows cloudy or showers in winter when it is heavy snow falling on 6S it shows heavy snow and on SE 2020 it shows cloudy. Since Apple changed new weather provider the weather forcast was not shown correctly. I need to know when summer thunderstorms are coming so that I can unplug power from the wall on my dj production 2 studios

Things I would like to see Siri do in the future:
Tell the type of pollen and pollen count, when giving the weather, especially of course, in the summer and spring.

Be able to pull up a split of two apps by voice to Siri.

Be able to do everything that accessory voice control can do. I want to see Siri have absolute control of my iPad via my voice. I would like to be able to have her read everything on a page not just Safari and Flipboard. People who don’t want Siri to have control functions can always turn her off.

Dividing by one half is multiply by two. X/0.5 = 2X. No wonder Siri was confused, it knew what you meant which was the wrong question to get the answer you wanted :-) It’s called maths :-) perhaps the answer is different in the USA?
