I really wish you showed us more of the games especially the Sonic games. I've read many negative comments about the Sonic games' audio quality and I would have love to hear it myself.

I got one of these recently and I'm pretty happy with it. The genesis I got when I was a kid just died and I have been unable to find a replacement, so I decided to give this a shot. Pretty much all of my carts work, the sound is a little off but not a deal breaker for me. I have not encountered the hissing issue with sonic yet. Over all I'm happy with it and it will do until I can find a replacement genesis.

There is misinformation about this: it has every Streets of Rage, yet people complain about it being absent. The lack of certain games is astonishing: NO Shining Force II, NO Mega Bomberman, NO Rocket Knight Adventures, No Gunstar Heroes or Sunset Riders WTF

I enjoy mine immensely. What you fail to do is realized it's supposed to transport you back into that time period not go head to head with Xbox scorpion

I have been accused of being stuck in the 80s. But even I'll admit that you can't bring the past back down to the smallest detail. This is a nice way to visit the past. Yes. There are some differences between these games and the actual SEGA games. But it is STILL a nice trip down memory lane. Also, consider that you're paying so little for so many games and TWO controllers.

I just got my sega working and will only play this thing for games I no longer have until I re-buy my collection. Its a relief to finally have legit sound and control on sonic and be able to use the enforcer gun. Still though this was worth the 40 bucks. People are a bit too harsh on it because like I said, the nes classic mini pissed me off so much more. Also keep in mind people that this is better than nothing. Nintendo has no intention of releasing an official sega mini, and I bet a lot of third worlders don't mind this thing. The game list could obviously have been better like the mini, but it takes games and does not lag like the mini bes or snes as bad.

When I get one of these, I can add that on my amazing collection. Your are going to like my amazing collection of the 16 bit Sega Genesis. My collection of the 16 bit Sega Genesis is called Sega Genesis special edition and I named it as my amazing collection.

Would the Sega Master System thing work on this?? Also nice review, I got one as well as a couple retrobit controllers and it's working greatly with my cartridges.

I see they have it now in ToysRus for $45. Is it worth it? Does it have the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? God I love that game. Who remembers that?

Soooo, how did you hook that up? Have a smart TV and even plugged up to the comp part it refuses to accept the signal.

I got this as a surprise for my birthday a month ago.  What was annoying is that the controllers it came with seemed to refuse to work, but now that I seen this, it made me realize I simply didn't have fresh batteries for it. Although it seems with how picky it is on how the signal works, I guess it's a good thing I already got some Sega brand controllers to use instead.

Just bought one. Overall worked fairly well, but slower than the real thing. makes the music sound real odd too. The cordless controllers worked better than I thought they would, thought the battery port access is poor. However, the unit will NOT save any games utilizing battery back up, which is a complete deal breaker for me. Nice toy, but does not compare to the real thing. Did not keep the unit.
