On my way from Kyiv to Sofia in July this year i stayed there for one day. I was surprised! What a little charming city. The ethnical mix of residents was interesting. Finally it is the capital of a historical area called Bukowina which includes areas not only in Romania and Ukraine.

Very beautiful. My mother's family came from this city. Also from Sniatyn.

I was there in 2019, it was a cozy town and I liked it. I prefer Lviv though, mainly because I don't understand Ukrainian, and in Lviv, it was easier to find people who spoke Russian and English. Both places are worth a visit though, and I was traveling from Chisinau to Lviv so it was on the way toward Lviv.

As I have visited Prague several times, it is exciting to hear of a city in Ukraine that rivals Prague's beauty and culture - and I had never even heard the name before! Thank you Connor and Angela for the tour!

Absolutely beautiful definitely adding to the list of cities to visit the next trip to Ukraine after the war. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully with Russia exiting Kherson you will give an update with your thoughts about the new developments.

Great hearing your girlfriend speak Ukraine. Really nice city. It is unusual that it survived the wars that went through Europe. TY Conor. Standard Conor. Great information and no games with it.

I used to live in Chernivtsi for 4 months after the start of the war. I have been living most of my life in Kherson, and compared to it, I felt like I got into another world :D
I haven't known we had cities like that. Kherson also have many wonderful sight things and beautiful pre-revolutionary architecture, but I'm used to the fact, that major part of our cities are full of concrete blocks where people live and unrestored old buildings. And then I've seen Chernivtsi and was like: "DAMN" :D

I lived in Ukraine for several years, after I first went there in 2012. I lived in several places while there and visited around 9 cities in Ukraine, but I never got to visit Chernivtsi. Obviously, I'd heard as well as read about Chernivtsi, and I also have a Ukrainian friend here in England who I've known for about 5 years who is originally from Chernivtsi. However, I never visited, as it always seemed out of the way, being in its unique geographical position in Ukraine.

I am sure it's a very beautiful city, but it's clearly smaller than Lviv and much smaller than Prague. I would definitely like to eventually visit Chernivtsi after the war is over. But in terms of beauty, there are many beautiful cities in Ukraine. Kyiv has many beautiful parts, so do Odessa, Lviv and many other cities in Ukraine.

It's interesting though how you pointed out that Chernivtsi was one of the few cities that wasn't devastated during WW2. Because, as I understand it, the Chernivtsi Oblast, is the only region in the whole of Ukraine, that hasn't been attacked by Russian missile strikes or drone attacks in the current war that is going on. Again, this must be partly to do with Chernivtsi's geographical location.

I watch your videos regularly, as I love the part of the world that you are in. You and Angela, take care and thanks for the video footage that you provide for us. Slava Ukraini!

I love Ukraine only traveled to Odessa! I also have traveled to South America 7 times! In my experience for men from North America and Canada seeking love from abroad! I suggest South America the connection there suits Americans men and Canadian men better! I dated Ukrainian women and women from South America! I prefer South America

This city belongs to Ukraine only since 1945, until then it was majority romanian part of Romania. Before that ist also belonged to the Habsburg Empire, but still majority romanian. It has little to do with Ukraine, that can be seen in the architecture which is very different from the typical ukrainian city. Even today all the territories south of Chernivitsi up to the romanian border is majority romanian.
