As usual you are ... Very clear and straight forward explanation which comes from deep understanding which takes a lot of studying and searching for the smallest details.

Are DDE and COM/DCOM same? what I studied is classic OPC client communicates with classic OPC server via DDE if server and client are in same computer. Whereas OPC client communicates with OPC server via network DDE if server and client are in different computers. For example if I want to communicate rslinx with excel, I use OPC/ DDE to communicate with excel. So please clarify. Thanks for your OPC UA series and Udemy courses.
