That first one is absolutely nuts. The fact that they could just be out there walking amongst us. The balloons? Like it was set up as a party. The money? Like an extra insult after it all. Throwing money at her corpse like she's a prostitute? Insane. And that poor boy.

it's good that the Jack family was included I'm glad they're getting more awareness.
I live in Prince George and I am pretty sure that there's at least one serial killer in the northern BC area. there's just too many people that go missing, too many girls who are found like a month or never later, too many places and ways to hide.

the Jack family case is genuinely so sad. there’s literally 0 coverage on disappearances of our people, despite the fact that we suffer an EXTREMELY disproportionate amount of violence and m7rder compared to non-native people.

thank you for bringing this to light, Cadaber.

So happy we got to collab on the last case. I hope, if anyone who knows the Jack family watches, it feels we made their story justice.

i just want to give a big thank you for covering the second case. we need more people to understand the horrors that us indigenous people go through here in canada. it’s terrifying. but i’m glad you and many others are respectfully bringing these cases to light ❤

Stealing cough medicine for her children just broke my heart.

I've only recently been learned about the disproportionate number of native and first nations trafficking victims. It's something that needs more awareness the numbers are shocking.

i really feel for mrs jack, i cant imagine the pain of your entire family disappearing without a trace and then being dismissed or even outright harassed by the people you thought were supposed to be helping

The disappearances of the Jack family members is a tragedy all the way around.

I'm not surprised the RCMP took the Jack family off the missing persons list without confirming they were found. They did the same thing to Amber Tuccaro (the indigenous girl who hitchhiked and was abducted, and recoded a call with her alleged abductor) in 2010. The RCMP has a long and horrifying history of sweeping missing and murdered indigenous people under the rug (or maybe it would be more apt to say on starlight tours).

The RCMP is notorious for botching investigations, not investigating at all, or writing off cases altogether, especially when the victim(s) is/are of native descent

Edit: should have waited ten seconds, he addresses this

The first homicide was not the perpetrators first time murdering someone in that fashion. It's exceedingly risky to attack a couple, even if you had the drop on them know and if they didn't know how to defend themselves well. There's tons of serial killer who are really into possessing or being adjacent to power, befriending cops, becoming security guards, etc.

That police sketch of the suspect from the Jack family case is horrifying.

The jack family is a perfect case of the MMIW phenomenon. I’m from the Blackfoot Indian confederacy that spans from Montana up into Canada. We have some of the highest missing persons rate of any people, yet they never see the news. Back in the day I couldn’t imagine the amount of cases that were overlooked and just disregarded due to the victims being indigenous. Please if any of you care enough look into the matter. My uncle Frankie Kipp has a documentary called Blackfeet boxing that touches on it also. Condolences to the family and I pray that some evidence does come with time. No family deserves to feel this type of pain.

As a Native American. It gets me mad how we get looked past when it comes to missing family members. When my sister went missing, many people told me to get over it. Many said, she’s dead, give it up. Makes me so angry.

I've seen a few videos about the Jacks and I think this video is the first I've heard that Russell wasn't Ronnie's bio-child, or the fact that the father (I think Doreen's father?) also went missing. Well done, great coverage

Your thoughtful and respectful coverage of the Jack Family is so important. Due to the discovery of the unmarked graves at the Kamloops, BC residential school in 2020, the world now knows of the “sixties scoop” and why so many Canadians do not support the RCMP - they were literally assembled to commit genocide against Indigenous people. I was born and raised in BC, and think it’s imperative that the rest of Canada and the world understands the insidious erasure of Indigenous culture across this country.

Im always suspicious of "killed over a debt" theories. If you kill someone over a debt that still doesn't get you paid.
