Steam Deck Quickie: Adding Non-Steam Game START IN and TARGET is broken ... Why and how to fix!

When adding non-steam games to Deck has a nasty bug where the START IN and TARGET fields are screwed up. This "breaks" a ton of my tutorials as well as MANY others.

Let me show you what's going on ... and how to fix it.

Thank you - your two videos (and update vid) along with setting my MTU to 1450 in the wifi connection settings helped me solve for the "Ubisoft service unavailable error" and was able to finally launch UC and play The Division 2.

Let us also hope the infuriating grayed out (unless steam is restarted) "Force Proton Compatibility" box will also be fixed eventually :o

Not the only thing they broke with the latest stable update. Two more things I noticed: Haptics intensity isn't saved and a couple of games don't accept external controller inputs when using remote play, that worked before.
