Starting out don't be afraid to spend a little time travelling around on foot rather than fast travelling or broom riding. Moonstones and assorted plants are everywhere and picking them up as you go means you'll never be short of either.

One of the best scrolls is the one that creates a random potion every 11 minutes or so. Create two of these in the Room of Requirement, you will not need to brew any potions. Concentrate on maximizing herbology.

Big tip, save up for the three largest herbology stations (small x 5, medium x 3, large x 2) while expensive both galleons and moonstone, this makes the most of your 7 station limit within the room of requirement. Why grow 7 plants when you could potentially have 35 growing plots.

Pro tip, after you take the astronomy class in chapter 2. That's when you finally unlock all of the activities in the open world. That's when you should start going crazy over it.

One note about Incendio. yes i agree i like the range of confringo more, but i find incendio invaluable when fighting groups of inferi as they all need to be affected by fire, before they take damage, so i like to get up close with the group, use the circle of incendio to get them all burning so i can start fighting them all

I found that wiggenweld potions are abundant all over the world, if i use some ill probably replenish my supply just with the drops in the aftermath - especially against goblins. I found that thunderbrew potions were the best use of my time in the room of requirement as theyre pretty powerful and after your first encounter with inferi, theyre easy to make too.

Be willing to slow burn certain quests. For example, instead of trying to tackle all of the Demiguise statues and Daedalian keys at once, just give yourself a while of doing other quests to find them naturally. Once you've gotten past the first two sets of Merlin trials, just do the trials as you come to them. Same thing with popping balloons.

I have one tip I haven’t seen in a video yet and wish I knew, when flying on your broom, if you fly low your boost will not deplete.

One of the best things I've found is perked disillusionment charm paired with perked transfiguration and petrificus. You can sneak through entire large waves taking down foes from behind, especially groups, and snipe outliers by transfiguring them into explosive barrels and one tapping with a normal cast to light them up. Others around will immediately investigate and take the AOE blast. Otherwise turn them into a keg and throw it at the others. It's not a charge in approach, but I've found it immensely fun.

You're missing out if you don't get the 4 measly points in stealth. Stealth is really OP in this game and even if you don't stealth a ton, for the situations that call for it you'll be super happy you did it

I started room of requirement with over 200 moonstones 😂.

Doing hard difficulty with zero wiggenweld upgrades or crafting. Elden ring has prepared me for this

You make a lot of good points, I wasted a ton of Galleon’s on my first play though. Though I want to point out incendio mastery helps if you are getting mobbed by spiders or Inferius, I have used it successfully in a few instances. And there is a mod thank puts a talent reset potion for sale at J Pippins if you are playing on pc though I haven’t used it.

I rarely ever used wiggenweld potions on normal mode, so I switch to hard mode and I actually enjoy the slight challenge to it now. I also never used any of the other potions and plants so switching to hard mode gave me more of a reason to try those out as well.

Also don't neglect the combat plants - you can carry 12 mandrake roots at a time, and having a couple of 5-pot tables in the room of requirement will let you replenish your mandrakes in one visit, and an AOE stun is a godsend in fights with multiple enemies.

Agree with the “get all the spells” thing. But the side quests have all been pretty good tbf. I wouldn’t ignore all side quests that aren’t spell rewards - throw one in every now and then for funsies. The pacing matters but it’s totally up to you.

I haven’t regretted the way I’ve paced the game. When any side quest appears, I’ll do it lol. Especially as a lot of them are to go clear a bandit camp or den of spiders which gets you good loot

I just started playing this recently after many hours of Jedi Survivor. So glad I found these videos because I feel like I have already made a few errors in my talent points and getting rid of gear. I can now go back and adjust my playing. Thanks for no spoilers and a lot of useful information!
