New Zealand should have a 4-5 frigate navy, not 2. We have a responsibility to help out our neighbours if the 💩 hits the fan. Not ride their coattails as we have been doing for the last 20 odd years.

I feel so sorry for our cousins, the bi partisan government treatment of NZDF's kit funding wise has been a disgrace. Labour PM Helen Clark just vamoosed your air arm of Skyhawks which with RAN provided invaluable inter-operability. ANZAC Class FFGs imo are far more tech advanced after their CeaFar upgrades. But we all have an opinion. Good to see the NZ navy getting modern [ish] kit.

ANZAC class frigates, NZ has one CIWS Phalanx. I read that Aussies have TWO on their Anzac class, is this true?

these ships can carry 16 sell mk 41 VLS. and 4-8 anti ship missiles . we could have 8 of those VLS housing 32 sea ceaptors. and 8 housing long range sm2's. but we have 0 anti ship missles. and a 20 cell sea ceaptor missles.
