Selena Quintanillas story stands as the cornerstone foundation of the present day Human Rights/Anti-Human traffickicking, forced career, and Social Justice movements in a technologically advanced society. The modern day entertainment industry in particular the music industry as well as various communication and communications media have also been largely founded by those present involved in the production of these events which stand as a most severe matter. We see here in every instance the forced nature of the career of every female artist as well as others on hand in the most physically intrusive manners; who appear in this tejano so called racially commercialized and community destroying endeavour. Which has effectively silenced the voices of entire communities and the human rights movement as a whole. This behavior has continued till present day, simultaneously we see those personally accountable for what truly is a human catastrophe for all society as a whole and brazenly promotes complicity to an already at risk population. The abusive tactics used to intimidate persons vulnerable like Selena Quintanilla highlights the need for immediate societal education. Education on forced relationships, which clearly begets the norm here, and crime free atmospheres which are needed in an advanced tech society faced with long term accountability. Even one such instance resembling what we see here such as that of Ariana Grande has been globally lambasted for offensive volatility, why is this still being allowed in global silence here. Do good to be, question id imposition

The applause from 3:00-3:48 was for Chris, and Chris alone: not her parents, not her siblings, but him. When he spoke, the applause grew louder and people gave him a standing ovation. Abraham's and AB's attempts to belittle and diminish his role in Selena's life, is only a reflection of their own insecurity. He was the only man who held the key to Selena's heart, and I believe the audience understood that.

I think what makes Selena story so sad and so emotional is the fact that Selena was a person who was not only super talented, but the fact that when you watch her interviews and bloopers and home videos of her on the internet, she was like an Angel. You see an innocent minded person who cared about people, wouldn’t hurt a fly, was goofy, bubbly loved to joke and just tried to be the best that SHE could be and not the best in existence. She was naturally happy. Her humility as a person is what makes this story so sad for me.

So sad to see Chris, Suzette and Marcela trying to keep together while accepting the awards.

I've never cried so much over someone I never met. The way she touched so many people with her music, her voice, and just herself in general will never happen again. No other artist will ever measure up to who she was and who she could have been. I'm currently reading "to Selena with love" by Chris Perez and it truly makes you feel like you knew her. Like she was your close friend that was stolen from you. Life is so unfair sometimes. We miss you Selena 🤍

Wow .. The standing ovation for CHRIS was beautiful!! And it obviously upset Suzette..Rather than supporting Chris's support by her fans, she put her head down!?!, and She continues after by telling "Like I was saying". .. pretty sad. It's clear now, that Suzette WAS most likely jealous of her sister, but now can have the attention by speaking FOR Selena. The family was so insecure by Selena's love for Chris, and vise versa. He will ALWAYS be a part of not only Selena's legacy, but also a part of her today. Chris NEVER was about money. By Selena's father suing Chris not long after her passing, shows who was about money. Congratulations to Chris for all his success over the years. Selena is VERY proud of him. RIP beautiful Selena! I know you are waiting patiently for your husband to go home to you. 🙏🏻💕🕊️

As a 2nd generation Italian American, I can recall hearing Dreaming of You when I was 13 years old. And instantly falling in love with that voice, the melody and lyrics. I remember begging my mom for the CD and she bought it for me. That’s when I discovered Selena and fell in love with her. And today, as an almost 41 year old, who isn’t fluent in Spanish, I have many of her songs on my playlist like Como la Flor, La Carcacha, Amor Prohibido, Si Una Vez, Baila Esta Cumbia, and so many more on many playlist. And when those songs come on, I crank the volume and know every single Spanish lyric and sing them at the top of my lungs. Her music transcends the boundaries of language. You hear a Selena song, you’re singing that Selena song. And her infectious personality and how she adored her fans and people in general, speaks volumes about the person Selena was. Her music will continue to live on forever and she will have fans new and old until the end of time. We love and miss you, Selena. 🫶🏼❤️
