Thank God for you sir. I'm at conference today and PAD, foot care was a big part of the discussion. The Balm of Gilead & I kept thinking about Dr. Jefferson should be at this conference.

Dr Jefferson, I honestly wish I could get my incapacitated brother to you for treatment. He lives in NC, and is unable to do any traveling because of his health condition. He’s been bedridden for almost 2 years now. But he needs to see you badly.

It’s so difficult to vac a heel and keep a good seal. I’ve tried bridging to the top of the foot with good effect. NPWT is the best kind of wound therapy 👍

In the uk nurses were taught the ‘proper’ way to make a bed, with what they called hospital corners. Then they realised suck tight sheets & blankets on a patient were helping to cause bed sores on the heels like in this video. So now beds are made just like at home and patients aren’t expected to sit in bed all day as it used to be. On old photos and videos you see patients in beds on a long ward, every bed perfect, nothing out of place, a newspaper would be whisked away in time for the usual rounds doctors did, escorted by the ward matron, ordinary nurses were ignored pretty much by the doctors. Thankfully that’s just about changed. A rheumatologist I have seen still has a I’m god complex 🙄 I overheard her belittle a student nurse, a red rag for me as I used to do trade Union work, a couple of nurses said she was horrible all of the time. So my inner b**ch came out, I can be curt and point things out when she thought she was being clever, I’d already seen her twice before and she was rude. When I came out the nurses had been listening and were stood laughing and thanked me 😂 I can’t stand people like that, unfortunately in teaching I worked with far too many. Belittling workmates is unacceptable, I don’t care if it’s the CEO and a window cleaner, they’re equals, just people
