For those wondering, this is in the Ultimate universe. Spider-Man manages to beat down the sinister six and kills green goblin before succumbing to the gunshot and dying in Aunt May’s arms in front of their house.

I love how baller Spider-Man is. Jumps head first into a conflict he doesn’t need to be in, takes a bullet like a champ and then man handles 6 super powered villains. That’s what it takes to put down Spider-Man, that’s the bar for killing this guy

Worst part is this Spidey was only Spiderman for less than a year and went through 160 issues of shitty events. He started while he was 15 and this event happened very shortly after his 16th birthday. This Spidey had pure will and is my absolute favorite iteration of the character

This actually shows that the Punisher knows when he has done wrong, Peter was still young, and one of the more pure good heroes, actually Punisher likes him a lot for that quality, and shooting him actually broke him

Imagine the guilt, the punisher would feel after learning of Spider-Man‘s death, as a consequence of him shooting him. Sure his bullet didn’t kill the Spider-Man, but it put him in a critical condition that he otherwise would not have died from.

I love how Punisher was like
“Oops I shot Spider-Man… well now my crusade is over. I deserve to go to jail”.
Coming from someone who doesn’t give up. It shows how sorry he really is and would never hurt anyone who is good.
It shows he has a soul and a lot of people don’t get that about The Punisher. The dude is ‘not’ just about killing people.
