Part of the problem is the notion "without the intervention of God", as if there is any human autonomy. We don't even provide our own next breath. Everything we see and have is provided on an ongoing basis by God. Whether we remain faithful or whether we take God's good gifts and go away to a far country to squander them on sin, God provided the gifts that we either use for his glory or abuse. As soon as I hear things like, "on your own" or "without God" or "in your own power", I know I'm listening to a debate tactic, not a serious, biblical discussion about what responsibilities God in his sovereignty chooses to place on man for his own salvation. Obviously only God can give salvation as a gift, and only because Jesus paid for it. Repenting does not secure anything for us. We can repent and cry all day, but it's God's compassion, love and mercy that recognizes our need and meets it.

Why has God predestined most people to not believe the gospel and go the broad path to destruction? I hear this question all the time and it seems like a fair question. Does God make people who are born dead to Him, and make sure the gospel stays foolishness to them, so they go to hell?

If what you say is true - what's the point of Discipleship?

Beliefs, now that is the problem, since they are changeable and thus dualistic. Non-duality, direct revelation, knowledge is experience apart from belief. There is only God. Hence, only what is real exists and everything else only seems to exist in dreams.
