Also the word world doesn't mean every individual. If you read Matthew it says Herod sent out a census to the whole world yet we know people in China were not doing a census for King Herod

If Josh would just actually see the context of 2 Peter and see who the letter is addressed to he would know that Peter is talking to the Beloved. The Beloved are Christians so when it says God not wishing any should perish but reach repentance is the elect. Also those who reject Calvinism don't think about it this way that God wills every man to be saved then he is failing miserably but since God's will is not to save everyone but to save those he intends to save then he is successful.

Josh is so very, very smart indeed, but he eviscerates 2 Peter 3:9, using only the part of the verse that supports his view (this is worse than prooftexting). This is probably THE easiest synergist talking point to refute. 2 Peter 3:9 is talking about the "beloved". God is not willing that ANY OF THE BELOVED should perish, but that ALL THE BELOVED should come to repentance. Make them define who the beloved are and keep it in context. They lose this point every single time.
