I spent 30 years hiding from life. I'm ill both physically and mentally. One day I realized that I had to do something, or live to regret it. I've really come to understand this later in life. Same idea expressed differently - I have two saying I use all the time: "Everything changes"
"It's hard to die"
The first is about not being too comfortable or too worried about your situation in life. Things really come and go. Prepare yourself for how things will shift without you ever being ready.
The second means you have no choice but to live your life as it comes, and despite setbacks, dangers, or fears that could overwhelm you. You'll almost certainly survive it. Therefore, face the waves as they come and embrace life's struggles.
