An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party organization that hires and pays an employee on behalf of another company and takes responsibility for all formal employment tasks.

Using an EOR allows companies to legally and efficiently engage with overseas workers either in a new country or state, without having to set up a local entity or risk violating local employment laws.

It is a cost-effective way to outsource payroll and HR functions and overcome employment requirements for non-resident companies doing business in different countries.

But what exactly is an Employer of Record and which one to choose? I'm going to give you all these answers in this video.

So EOR the Firm that handles all the HR & Legal related task is that correct?
I was can't understand the difference between HRIS platform and EOR, it feels kinda same but I think I know EOR is not a platform but a firm that can support and coordinate the HR & Legal task even the company is not a local one correct?

Oldest EoR listed is Safeguard from 2012? Mauve Group have been doing this since 1996...before it was even known as EoR.

What I don't get is, when I'm hired by an EoR, say I was given the task to implement a website, and the task is completed, does the EoR fire me or keep me hired and keep paying me?
