I am an American, 67 years old. Here is my take on it. Ukraine is now in this situation that they did not ask for or seek. The only thing to do is make the best of it. That means, you have to win. But how to define "winning"? Easy! Russia must be removed from every inch of Ukrainian soil obviously but there is more. The Russian army must be so badly mauled that they will always think twice before trying this again. We have heard for many decades now, that Russia only respects strength. You cannot afford to show them any weakness, ever! Kissinger and the rest are idiots. Do you think America would ever accept such a proposition? Israel tried many times to trade land for peace; they lost land and did not get peace. One has to be stupid to think that if Putin gets away with any of this theft of land he or other future Putins will not try it again? Every time the "Russian Bear" sticks his paw over the Ukrainian border he should pull back a bloody stump. It is all he understands.
