MARTA Train Horns (Compilation)

MARTA trains honk their horns approaching stations and near tunnel portals. Here are dozens of clips of MARTA trains honking across the system, including Société Franco-Belge CQ310s (numbers 101-200), Hitachi CQ311s (numbers 201-300), and AnsaldoBreda CQ312s (numbers 601-702).

The propulsion sounds of MARTA’s fleet are similar to the BART A2 and B2 cars. MARTA uses the Adtranz 1508C motor, while BART uses the Adtranz 1507C AC motor, and some of the sound comes from the inverters powering the motors.

Some conductors are so rude that they purposely honk at passengers when entering the station instead of when they approach to the end of the platform. I had to cover my ears when the train approaches in case something like that happens.

I wonder if the new stadler trains will have a different sounding horn, or will they be teh same as the old fleet?

Kinda sounds like Bart legacy fleet horn though
