I love the n64 controller but the joystick is the worst of any controller ever. Also I think there’s like less than 10 games that use the dpad lmao

The left stick is for 2d games and the middle stick is for 3d games

You actually need 3 friends over to play with the controller correctly. One hand for each grip

To hold a N64 controller (if it's a 3d game)
You hold the thumbstick first
While your other finger is on the Z button
Then it might be more comfortable
Or just look at the N64 commercials

As someone who is 18 and has no prior nostalgia for the n64 i weirdly enough like how it feels atleast to me the only thing I dislike is the joystick but the actual feel of the controller doesn't bother me

Honestly, I played the N64 smash bros for so long. I went from N64 smash to ultimate. It was almost impossible for me to play smash bros with a switch or game cube controller they all just feel to wierd for smash bros. But with the 64 controller im just as good at ultimate as I was at N64 smash.

Ha! Hard disagree. I got an N64 when I was 12. That controller was perfect for the games on that system. By modern standards of course it's not, but that's not what we had back then.
