I study climate research and some stuff makes me want to cry when i see the climate situation, it seems all good in
my own country but its all rotting to the core

My job is litteraly to prevent greed from destroying this planet

Reading all of these comments I know that we as a species are doomed and will render this planet uninhabitable.

do people really not believe in climate change? is this really our reality?

The comment section is so dumb. Like please educate yourself and listen to the scientists, their the experts not you. We have to change our attitude and lifestyles if we want to survive as a species.

This is very well done. I'm back 3 months later to remind myself that the future is Now and it IS us. This needs to be talked about in the quiet parts of life. Between the times we march. To prepare.

The thing is that when the people really realize that the debate is over, lawlessness will abound.

Unfortunately, our faith is NOT in our hands 😢. It's in the hands of the policy makers and enforcers that are in the pockets of the big industrial polluters 😢
Its 2024 and I am watching this video now. No solution and no real effort is made, on the contrary the problems are only adding up...The more I know the more depressed I am...I don't see a bright future

In 2000 the climate change alarmists said that by the year 2020 there would be no more snow on the Australian alps.Well this year 2019 we had a fantastic snow season. With one winter to go we'll see how right they were. Some how I think they will be proved wrong.

I think the reason why many people have a hard time taking climate change seriously is because of how the solutions are often portrayed e.g. Greta Thunberg, planting trees (even though they aren't really a solution), paper straws and expensive energy through windmills and solar panels that have an insane footprint on them through their production. If real change is needed and further wanted but resources limited then it only makes sense to focus on that which has the biggest 'bang for bucks'. Helping poor countries should be the first priority. Many of the Africans countries have insane fertility rates. It is well documented that as wealth increases fertility rates decrease. That would be a start. Capping the number of people on earth. Further, invest in third worlds countries production. Make the production in such countries sustainable. Give a real plan of action instead of scare tactics and paper straws.

So when the government withholds information about free energy that can save our planet, what do we do? Greed has taken over.

That moment you realize we are not supposed to be here we are an anomaly. We are a damn sickness and the earth is simply heating itself up as a reaction to the sickness.

Wow that would be cool to make it to 2050.
I am not nearly so optimistic.

As someone who has devoted their lives to the scientific method. A major part of good science is the ability to make mathematical models in order to make predictions. Physics, Medicine, Chemistry and Climatology all function in the same format. The sanctity of data is also maxim of science, which the climate alarmist have violated overwhelmingly. Predicting weather may not be needed to make a case for the climate alarm, but predicting larger trends is necessary to make a proof. The climate alarmists have not been able to make any predictions that have turned out to be true.

When I was a kid (in the 70s) these same people said we were moving towards a new ice age, today it is global warming. Please don’t misunderstand I believe mankind does affect our environment mostly through overpopulation, I just think it is wrong to make major plans without understanding the variables and some mostly accurate predictions. I also have never been in a meeting of scientists were 65% could agree on what day it is much less on a complex problem.

The climate crisis remains the defining issue of our time. It's massive, unprecedented and existential. If we are going to leave our kids with a liveable climate, we have to ditch all our economic assumptions about prosperity and growth. There are no fairytale endings and no simple tech solutions.
Our material standard of living has to reduce. Less cars, less consumerism, less travel, less flying. What political party is going to win if they try to sell that?
What I suspect we'll see is greenwashing, brave talk about new initiatives and increased efficiencies, empty promises, finger-pointing, and more conferences. The global GHG footprint will keep rising and we'll probably reach +3C or more while mass migration and unrest destabilize societies everywhere.
