Great video! Cultures and indigenous peoples around the world, with thousands of years of observation under thier belts, noticing the climate is changing sooner than it should be. And we, the western world, with scientists that have studied this for decades, and with proof that yes, we humans, greedy Europeans especially, have triggered this cascade of events, bringing about global warming, in which climates are changing. Cause? ignorance, greed and power, and lack of understanding through education. We are taught only what is NECESSARY to serve the interests of the elite. The very people responsible for global warming. Talk about a feed back loop!

Also again, Many tropical small islands are volcanic in origin and decay and form coral atolls as their advanced state. Look below the sea and you will often find huge cliffs of corals . So as the land that is left continues to sink the coral can easily keep pace. You can witness the same thing in the Kimberley in NW Australia. As the land lifted there are coral cliffs hundreds of feet high. This has been going on for eternity.

The poor would always be the victims. Protesters in London suggested having a tax on plane trips so that only the rich could travel. The core problem seems to be money and the cost to do something. But where would this money go ?

Far too many people on this finite planet.

Great documentary, but there is a mistake! The major reason of current sea level rise is thermal expansion of seawater and not the melt of ice caps :)

Tomorrow I will leave my house in the city, get a reindeer herd and move to Kiribati.

Maybe some of these Pacific Islands are sinking, and it't not due to the raising sea levels.

The majority rules is what you climate destruction deniers understand in this comment section and I agree with you on that point. If the hour hand on a round clock doesn't look like it's moving, you can't prove to me it's moving. Everyone's grandchildren on this planet is not so slowly running out of time to play outside and drink the rain water.

People talk too much on sea level rise . True it would be devistating. but food production is what we should worry about. Food production per temprature does not follow a bell curve. Temp average is 25c now. but at 27c but once it gets to 30c then food production fall off like a cliff. Very Very scary indead.

Yo German government funded "news" channel....if you are so worried about CO2, why did Germany just dramatically increase your reliance on coal over the last few years.

i live in America. I hate that our trash travels as far as it does. I sincerely apologize to the beautiful people of Kiribati. Something has to be done. Oh dear God, something has to be done about this. Thank you for this video. L

I no a climate scientist, and he says we're doomed. The governments of the world no this, but don't want to alarm the people. Also, we're lucky if theirs a microb left, something to do with the artic.

Time to reversing industrial carbon emissions by making and burying gigantic quantities of biochar! Let's scale up our renewably powered world and build the circular economy based on cradle to cradle certified circular production.

Except you left out that when dinosaurs roamed the planet, when they did the ice core in the poles it should that CO2 was higher then what it is today. If you that worried why don’t you do all of earth a favor and end it.
