Very happy that the Head Gravity Pro made this list! :) It's my racket of choice right now, and it's so wonderful. Phenomenal feel, control, and just everything I'm looking for in a racket (think beam, 18x20 string pattern, 100 square inch head size, etc.). I highly recommend!

Hi. I’m 73 years old. I’m retired, a former teaching pro, high school and college coach living in Massachusetts. Years ago I played at about a 4.5+ level. I’m just returning to tennis after a long absence. These days I play on both hard and har-tru clay courts. Most of my life I’ve played with a Continental grip. Back then I liked to serve and volley but I also liked to play a counterpunching game against younger stronger hitters. I pretty much only play doubles at this point. I have a one handed backhand, slice and topspin. I’m in the process of learning to hit with a semi- western grip (during practice sessions). I use a decade’s old Prince Graphite which I like. I’m 5’10” with small hands.
My Prince grip is 4 5/8ths. It’s time for an upgrade. What would you recommend for a former advanced player who is now probably playing at a 3.5 level, is 73, and in average health and wants to move into the modern age of racquet technology? Thank you very much.

Thank you for these awesome recommendations, but I still have some questions. I'm a returning player who played on the high school team. I used to be fine with the good old first edition of Wilson BLX Six. One Tour and 95 versions, but I am looking to change to a bit lighter and bigger head size. I prefer to play near the baseline and hit with spin. I'm thinking to demo out Wilson Blade 98 v8 and Yonex Ezone 98, but willing to demo more if you have other recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I'm in the intermediate level (4.0 NTRP) and have been using the 2016 Babolat Pure Drive for the last 4 years or so. I'm a power and spin guy but I guess I've found that sometimes I feel a bit sluggish which I feel may be due to the weight and as a result struggle a bit more with volleys (I know it's likely more an issue of technique, but a 315g racquet isn't helping). I've been looking into jumping into a different brand, although I'm not sure where to start. I will say though that I don't like the Pure aero style of racquet, that's all I really can say though.

I got used to playing and enjoying a Head Extreme MP 2019. I feel that I've improved my swing speed but now I'm losing the confidence to hit harder. I played with my friends Head Youtek Speed Pro and felt very comfortable hitting the ball, making less mistakes. What racket do you guys recommend similar to this last one? Gravity Pro, Wilson Blade 18x20 or something else?

Hi, I am male 5.8 in height with a single backhand. My forehand has good spin and control but lack power, i over hit if I had power. Backhand is decent but lacks punch, serve is decent but lacks punch. I have a good high-bounce second serve. I use a head radical mid plus microgel racquet. Unable to go to the next level. Please recommend a racquet.

I'm a self-taught beginner/intermediate. I've been playing with a large-faced Wilson racket I bought at Canadian Tire for $50. I'm looking for a significant upgrade. The first racket that caught my eye was the Wilson Blade v8, 104. I'm glad that it comes in a size 2 grip and is relatively light, 10oz. I feel like I am wanting control but don't want to sacrifice the power my racket already assists me with. I have tiny wrists so I find that I need to support my backhand a lot more to give it power. Although, I'm not sure what face size I should be working my way towards. Is 98 average for pros? Finally, I could string the racket with LXN ALU Power 125 silver, which I believe would assist me with control. Are their strings that you also recommend? Thank you for the great video.

Hello, quick question: How much does racket choice actually affect spin? Do rackets actually provide more spin, or is a "spin-friendly" racket just have a higher launch angle so you don't dump the ball in the net? If that is the case, then couldn't one just open their racket face a little more (i.e. hit less western and more semi-western or even eastern)?
Follow up" Let's say I can provide my own power and am looking for a high control racket, but like to hit with as much spin as possible; what racket would be the best? (Don't really care about arm friendly, just looking for good maneuverability, spin, control, and feel.)

Can you do a segment on tennis racquet brands and which of their models compare to each other? Like for example the yonex ezone = babolat pure drive = head ? = wilson?
Thanks

I currently use the Wilson Blade v7 Team 285gm unstrung.
I am 25 years old, 6ft height and I think I can take up a heavier racket.
I love to play with top spin from the base line and sometimes I sneak into the net. I play a little over intermediate level (Personal Judgement)

Recently I have played with my coaches Pure Drive 2021 and I loved it as it hits ball deep. However I'm keen on knowing how the Pure Aero performs.
Unfortunatly I don't have any place around me which can demo me rackets. Thus which rackets should I go for and what weight?
1. Pure Aero 300g
2. Pure Aero VS 105g
3. Pure Aero Tour 315g
4. Pure Drive 300g

Or any other racket you can suggest?

P.S. More over I have tried Yonex Dzone 98 and Head Extreme both felt less power than the Babolat Pure Drive.

What would you say is the best value for money for an intermediate player? I have played with a beginners level for 4 years with a Wilson Roger Federer racket which was around $45. My game style is to try to hit loopier strokes with spin, dropshots and flat ones to finish and I don't play at the net too much. Any help would be much appreciated!

49 year old 4.0 all-court player with a one hander and flat eastern forehand. Play 50/50 singles/doubles. In good shape but knees get dodgier by the season so looking for a racquet with more power as I'm finding I'm arming the ball more these days to compensate. My strengths are volleys, slice, and defense. Currently using the Gravity Tour weighted to 334g and 4pts headlight. Love it at the net but can feel a little slow from the baseline. So far considering: Speed MP and Radical MP. Would consider an even lighter frame (any brand) that is suitable for customization. I was hoping to find something that was around 320g with leather grip, 325ish SW and around 6pts headlight. Never really seen specs like that so wonder if it's even possible? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!!!

I’m a 4.5 all-court player, and I’ve been using the Wilson Pro Staff RF97. I love the plow through and effortless volleys, but sometimes my arm gets a bit tired in the 2nd set. Anything similar you’d recommend?
