For me it's a so-so decision. Growing indoors, means spending energy with the grow lights. Cheers.

Thanks to CaliKim’s wonderfully instructional videos I have transformed shelves in a closet into a garden. I have more lettuce than we can keep up with, spinach, kale, basil, micro greens, chives, ginger, lemon grass, flowers rescued from freezing outdoors and a Tiny Tim tomato that just this morning has her first buds. Yesterday I sewed seeds for bunching onions. Every morning when I switch on the grow lights it is like springtime in my closet.

I am growing tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, cucumbers, and green beans all under grow lights, it really grows well.

i just hacked myself one exactly like this .

I use the 150 W flood lights par 38, i think they look better than the tubes plus they reallly ramp up the lighting.
I Hang mine from the thick cable ontop of the wire racks with a 10.5" shell. Using the top most rack to let seeds germinate. geniuses think alike it seems
