Показать описание
a tasteimonial from a from a french film festival guy whose friend says "its very authentic" since she has already been to lebanon.
Sacha Bassil started this new business 3 weeks ago launching at the Kensington Market, Toronto to introduce authentic lebanese ingredients and flavors that is specific to her culture that is simple, street food, healthy, nutritional, medicinal, homemade.
She was always passionate about cooking when very young
being the sous chef in the kitchen learning from her loving grandmother.
It was 2 years ago she got the inspiration from simply walking in the farmers market in Lebanon where she tasted the "best manoushe of my life" from a women who actually lives in the mountain and so her heart decided to learn everything from her for 2 months.
She then came back to Toronto to practise and do tastings with friends, and a year later she started introducing it.
Manoushe is a Lebanese / Arabic flat bread where you can top it with the most famous mix called zaatar (which includes thyme, hyssop, oregano, savory, sumac, sesame seeds) where you can top it with things like cheese, beet root hummus, eggplant, pomegranates, and her main ingredient is love....
Where to find her taste of Lebanon: at kensington market every 11am to 7pm
follow her on instagram: manaish_saj
and note she will be at other pop ups
