How To Change Your TikTok Region

Is there a way to change your TikTok region? The TikTok app has a setting for adding additional language in order to let TikTok know you want to see content from other regions and countries in different languages.

By default, TikTok will only show you the native language set for your TikTok app. But if you add other languages, you'll see other content on your home or For You page.

It doesn't work. Your method works for those that want to view content from a certain region but this method will not show your content in that region.

on settings i see content preferences i don't have where it says on video languages English
it says on my content preferences on top it says filter video keywords 0
and on the bottom it says restricted mode off

I started TikTok when we lived in Japan. I’ve changed the region to US and it says I have to be here 90 days. I’ve been here two years and still can’t see TikTok shop and stuff. Everything is in English and I see American videos but still get Japanese ads and no TikTok shop.

I live in GB 🇬🇧 and I used to get British TikToks on my for you page but since I’ve been using a VPN, my whole FYP is Southeast Asian content from Thailand etc 🗿 the weirdest thing is, whenever I’ve used my VPN, it’s always only ever been set to Europe or America, so where it’s getting Asia from I haven’t the foggiest clue.
