I gotta say I love the plin plin plon here more than in the soul of cinder fight. Its slow and somber with soul of cinder, like "OMG its the plin plin plon, nostalgia, I feel sad but also happy." But with Nameless King it invokes more of a feeling like "Ya, plin plin plon, this is the firstborn of Gwyn, the rightful heir to sunlight, and he and his camera are abouta hand you your ass"

The Nameless King, firstborn of Gwyn and Heir to Lightning. He was adept in war, and with his mighty swordspear and miracles of lightning, the Nameless King was on the battlefield a most formidable foe, so much so that men named him a war god. He partook in the First of All Wars, where in valiant struggle he strove against the Archdragons at the dawn of history.

Yet he would betray his pedigree to ally with the Dragons, and for this most heinous grievance he would be exiled and his very name scrubbed from the annals, and his deific status was revoked. Though many hypothesize that he may be the god Faram told by the storied Knights of Forossa, his true name was irrelevant, as the Heir to Lightning faded from history.

All the references to plin plin plon at 2:15 but none with the Seath leitmotif at the very beginning? To me that sound encapsulates what dragons are like in the Dark Souls universe.

It's been 8 years and I've NEVER noticed the Gwyn leitmotif until now.

it was so cool how this single boss has the same darksouls 1 fanasty feeling with its music i always missed the older retro sounding music

Messmer has radagon's motif in it so.. yeah thanks to the logic here of plin plin plon = gwyn's son.. we can pretty much confirm messmer is radagon's kid.

I said this before because this is Motoi Sakuraba's last dance with the Trilogy and it does not disappoint.

Anyone else reminded of Demise due to the arena we fight NK in? He even kinda does a skyward strike by holding his blade skyward to catch a bolt of lightning. Plus he's a large figure with long hair. Come to think of it, Looking Glass Knight also does a stormy fight with skyward strikes too

2:15 is the plin plin plon 🗿, or an altered vercion to make a reference to Gwyn.
